U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled

Rob Klein was successful in defeating the attempts of a cruise line to prevent an attorney who had formerly represented the cruise line in a personal injury litigation from prosecuting a personal injury claim against the former cruise line client. In a published decision, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida ruled that the cruise line had not demonstrated that the attorney’s prior legal work for the cruise line was “substantially related” to the case which the attorney had filed against his former client.
